T-shirt "11.11 Croissant Time!" (Unisex)
State of Mind: 11.11
In Poznań, the calendar works differently than in the rest of the world. Of course, there are seasons – there's autumn with its maple leaves, white pumpkins, and the scent of anise. There's winter, spring, and summer.
But the real, most important division of time is the one between "Before 11.11" and "After 11.11".
Throughout October, the city lives in a quiet tension. People pull out warm knitted sweaters, light candles (like the one in the photo), and drink spiced teas, but everyone knows it's just a warm-up. Everyone waits.
Tomek was a Poznań native through and through. For him, November 11th wasn't just a date. It was a state of mind.
As soon as November 10th appeared on the calendar, Tomek would perform his evening ritual. From the closet, he would pull out not a suit, not his best shirt, but that very white T-shirt. He would iron it carefully and hang it on a chair, ready for the morning.
His girlfriend, who had just moved to Poznań, asked, "Really? Do you have a special shirt for eating croissants?"
Tomek looked at her with an indulgent smile. "Honey, you don't understand anything. This isn't eating croissants . It's a tradition . Tomorrow is a mission. Tomorrow is a holiday."
The next morning, he put on his "uniform." The small inscription on his chest was like a starting signal for the entire city. "11.11 Royal Time!"
This wasn't just any T-shirt. It was a declaration. It was an official announcement that calories don't exist on this day, frosting is mandatory, and the three-block queue to the bakery is a form of pilgrimage.
As he stood in line, other Poznań residents saw his jersey and nodded in approval. They didn't need to say anything. Everyone knew the time had come.
