On the stone floor of the old artist's studio, amidst scattered autumn leaves that the wind blew in through the open window, lived three dogs.

Two of them were guards.

To the left sat the Golden Dog . He was made of warm terracotta, his color reminiscent of afternoon sunlight on a carpet. He was the epitome of loyalty and patience—a dog that would wait for hours by the door for its owner to return.

To your right, the Black Dog watched. Carved from obsidian as smooth as night, its golden collar gleaming like the moon. He was a shadow that silently followed you from room to room; a silent support and a secret.

They were beautiful, but they were permanent. They were a memory, an idea of ​​a dog.

Between them was the third one – the heart of the house .

It was Fikus, a wire-haired dachshund. Fikus was neither calm like Gold nor quiet like Black. Fikus was a whirlwind of energy, a master of sticking his nose where it didn't belong, and a specialist in "What are you eating there?"

The studio's owner, an artist, tried to capture him. She carved the Golden Dog with his loyalty in mind. She carved the Black Dog with his discreet love in mind. But the Ficus still eluded her.

One day, as she sat frustrated on the floor, Fikus ran up, cocked his shaggy head, and stuck his big, wet nose right into her camera lens, almost touching it. His look said it all: "Hey! I'm here! What are we doing?"
